NEW ENGLAND: AMAZING THINGS OPEN MIC FEATURING PATRICE MCKINLEY
Every second Wednesday of the month Leslie Holmes hosts an amazing Open Mic night at the AMAZING THINGS ARTS CENTER (160 Hollis Street, Framingham, MA - 508-405-2787), and each show features a special guest. On Wednesday, November 13th the featured guest will be Patrice Mckinley. Patrice grew up in North Palm Beach Florida. After being a Vocal Performance Major at Florida State University, she received her Equity card while working at The Burt Reynolds Dinner Theater. After performing in Godspell, Hello Dolly and The Sound of Music, she moved to NYC where she studied voice extensively as well as dance, along with various performance and acting classes. She worked for 2 summers at The Bay Voyage Inn in Jamestown, RI doing Cabaret and fell in love with New England and decided to move there. Meshing both her Life Coaching and her music, Patrice's show "This Moment", (a solo performance concentrating on inspirational/motivational music of all genres) debuted at Don't Tell Mama's in Manhattan last year. "This Moment" has also been performed for local women's groups and networking events throughout Rhode Island. Currently, she is working on her new show "A New Day." Pianist for the open mic is Tom LaMark. The open-mic starts at 7:00 pm (signup at 6:30 pm), and the featured performers go on at 8:10 pm. There is an $10 cover charge ($9 cover for BACA members).
